taper lock sprocketsWith a slim profile and a double row of teeth, these sprockets allow your metric ISO double-strand roller chain to fit into tight spaces. They’re often called A-plate sprockets. To grip shafts, they use taper-lock bushings, so you can switch to a different diameter shaft by changing the bushing instead of machining the sprocket. Bushings mount flush inside these sprockets; secure them in place by tightening the set screws included with the bushings. All of these sprockets meet ISO 606 (formerly DIN 8187), which is an international standard for sprocket and roller chain dimensions and materials.
Small sprockets are usually manufactured from C45 Steel and the large sprockets maybe supplied in G22 Cast Iron. These taper bore sprockets accept tapered locking bushes in a wide variety of shaft sizes to allow the end user to easily fit the sprocket to the shaft with minimal effort and no machining.
Available in a comprehensive range of British Standard Simplex, Duplex and Triplex sizes. Pilot Bore variants available if required.
